Kenneth and Anita Matthews had always been entrepreneurs at heart. They started their own business, Ms. Piggies’ Smokehouse, in 1999, and never looked back. It was a lot of work, but it was also a lot of fun.
They loved the challenge of running their own business and making it a success.
They had no idea what they were doing when they first started out, but they learned as they went along.
And slowly but surely, Ms. Piggies’ Smokehouse became one of the most popular barbecue joints in St. Louis.

The cooking show, Delicious Destinations, spotlighted Ms. Piggies’ Smokehouse pork steaks.
They said how Ms. Piggies’ Smokehouse prepares food is really something else and that you have got to watch out for this place if your appetite needs satisfying in any way whatsoever.
Even though they were only on the show for a few minutes, it meant a lot to Mr. and Mrs. Matthews that people would see how hard they work to make Ms. Piggies’ Smokehouse the best it can be.

Kenny & Anita are the most caring and such a hard working couple…..they know their Bar-B-Que for sure, the sauce is their own “special” recipe, eat there once and YOU are HOOKED!
People come from all over to eat at Ms Piggies, try it and you’ll know why!!
We love Ms Piggies! We use them every year for our golf tournament. There was ONE year when someone else decided to use a different company for catering and people were not happy. They just wanted their Miss Piggies food! We will continue to use them for all our tournaments. No is ever disappointed by Ms Piggies!
Wow! Came up on business from San Antonio. St. Louis BBQ is for real and Ms. Piggy’s is kickin it first class. My hotel room smells like BBQ… and that’s ok. Baked beans spot on too. Pulled pork, burnt ends, shredded chicken. Oh my. May need a few extra napkins if you visit this amazing BBQ joint. Sign the walll! Great talking with you all. Ms. PIGGY IS SO SWEET!
